Mushroom Time

We will show you some of the mushrooms you can find in the Alt Empordà.

• In the Serra de l'Albera you will find:

Rovellons: They are characterized by the color burgundy when cut and greenish and reddish tones at the top.

Pinatells: They are characterized by their whitish color in its entirety. Not to be confused with the goat, which below are white, and these are not edible.

Bed-dry: We find them in early autumn, in meadows, gardens or lawns. It is appreciated in the kitchen for its perfume and good taste.

• In the Les Salines Massif you will find:

Camagrocs: His hat is brown and in honor of his name the foot is yellow. We find them forming large colonies.

Carlets: Pink and stained with vinous red, and white foot. Fleshy texture.

Trumpets of Death: Funnel-shaped and black in color. Highly appreciated, as it recalls the taste of truffles and plums.
