Even we are almost on Christmas, autumn vibes are still on. There is a drink that always looks good in this season; the Pumpkin Spice Latte.
What makes it so popular?
As you can imagine, social media. A few months ago, the Dalgona Coffee was everywhere. Thousands of people, -me included- were at home preparing the same drink, not always with good results. If you want to make your own Pumpkin Spice Latte, this is your chance.
But... what about the calories?
As a seasonal drink, it has a LOT of sugar (46g of sugar, when the daily recommended amount of sugar is only 25g). When I could taste this latte in Girona, there were two thoughts that came to my mind. First, the drink was so delicious... The flavor of the pumpkin complements perfectly with the nutty touch of Brazilian coffee. Even hating cinnamon, I enjoyed a lot this drink. But the other thought, was that I felt so full. For that reason, I learned about a recipe with a less amount of calories, that I want to share with you. So we can enjoy the drink in a better and healthy way.
How to prepare the drink:
You will need a little bit of ground cinnamon, ground ginger and nutmeg. Put it in a cooking pot with 250ml of milk and 20g of pumpkin purée. Before the milk starts to boil, add 30ml of espresso and pour the drink into your glass. You can top it with whipped cream and grounded cinnamon.
Enjoy the last days of autumn with this coffee recipe.
